This month, we’re celebrating the kitchen at Waterworks.  This gives me another opportunity to talk about faucets for the kitchen, bar, laundry, potting shed and mud room, as I have done in the past. There are so many options available that it is difficult to make the right choice from the many faucets in the market.

The countertop is the pivotal material in the kitchen. It is the most frequently observed item in the kitchen and should provide inspiration with every glance. Choose wisely.

At Waterworks, we absolutely love stone. It has a remarkable history that is around 4.6 billion years old, reflecting that its formation is extremely complicated. As the earth was formed, secrets were disguised in multiple layers beneath the surface. When man discovered these hidden gems, quite by accident, he wanted to extract them from gigantic mountains and large mounds. Of course, he had to construct tools and corral thousands of men with their raw strength to haul huge blocks from the site. The early use of levers and fulcrums helped ease the job.

Naturally, the faucet is the most used appliance in your kitchen. In thinking about this important purchase, keep in mind its dual personality; not only should it be compatible with the design of the kitchen, it also must be unequivocally functional.
