Last week we had a great time preparing for a photo shoot for what we are calling our “Heritage Book”. We have a 30 year plus history of influencing the design and style of the bath and we wanted to share that trajectory with our designer, architect and contractor clients, as well as our wholesale partners and homeowners. Our history has a foundation in authenticity and design integrity; a commitment to the understanding of materials; an admiration for the outstanding craftsmen who create the products; and a dedication to delivering a powerful client experience.

This week I am in San Francisco for a day of rest, several days of visiting clients and attending events associated with the wonderful San Francisco Fall Antiques Show including a discussion with Thomas Jayne, Suzanne Lovell and David Kleinberg. I am sure I will return with many photographs and tales to tell. I’ll post a new blog on November 2nd.

Jack Lenor Larsen, the internationally known textile designer, author and collector is the founder of the LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton. He acquired the 16 acres in 1970 and has been shaping and sculpting the property ever since. You enter the property through a drive, lined with giant cryptomerias in the most divine shades of green leading to the visitors’ entrance. Robert and I were in EH recently on a quick overnight to go to the beach with a detour to this fabulous property.

I believe I have a Nancy Drew spirit. I always think the next clue is just around the corner. So last weekend I decided to search for some great bath accessories in the usual places, where the results are often hit or miss. While I did not make any purchases, there were a number of charming items that would enrich any space.
